The Difference Between Remanufactured, Rebuilt and Repaired.

Remanufacturing spares, equipment or machinery, is a process where the item will be wholly taken apart. Each component is cleaned and checked for wear and tear. New and original parts will replace all elements that are prone to wear and tear. The final remanufactured component will be tested with the same criteria as a new item.

Rebuilding can be a less complicated process and will be dissembled only to the place where it has failed. Rebuilding usually replaces more than just the component that went bad, the final product may or may not meet the standards of a new item.

Repairing is the simplest and cheapest method of restoring a failing item to service. Repairing is frankly replacing the broken part that results in a piece that works. Only the repaired part will be brand new, while all the other parts will be old and prone to failure in the future.

Is your vacuum pump in need of service or rebuild? After providing a detailed repair estimate, and on your approval, we will provide an excellent rebuild or repair service at an affordable price. To ensure that a repair or rebuild is reliable and comprehensive, we will clean and check your item for wear and faults. We will change all the components that are worn or defective, with Edwards original spare parts. Our policy is to replace any item that is defective now, or that may break down very soon.
